Fast-food outlet locations
The map displays the location of existing, approved and proposed fast food outlets:
- Green = Existing outlet (fast food outlets that are currently open)
- Yellow = Approved outlet (fast food outlet developments that have been approved but have not yet opened)
- Red = Proposed outlet (fast food outlet developments that have been lodged for assessment and are awaiting a decision)
Locations from the 15 largest fast-food chains in Western Australia are included.
Fast-food outlet accessibility
- The “Fast-food outlets within a 10-minute drive*” layer shows how many fast-food outlets can be reached within a 10-minute drive from residential areas.
- The colour scale ranges from areas with no fast-food outlets within a 10-minute drive through to areas with more than 50 outlets accessible within the same travel time.
*Ten-minute drive-time catchments were calculated using the road network and typical weekday peak traffic conditions (5:00 pm).

Read your fast food outlet data
Click anywhere within a suburb, postcode or local government area to highlight that area.
When you select a suburb, postcode or local government area, a summary panel will display:
- Number of existing fast food outlets
- Number of approved fast food outlets
- Number of proposed fast food outlets
- Average number of fast food outlets accessible within a 10-minute drive
The information displayed will vary depending on the area selected. For example, a local government area will generally include more outlets than an individual suburb.
