UN-JUNK OUR

SPORTS

IT'S TIME TO UN-JUNK.

Sport should inspire kids to be active, confident and healthy. But instead, clowns, colonels and jacks are dominating our sidelines and screens. We're fed up. Unhealthy food and drink partnerships simply don't belong in sport. It's about time we make sports junk-free.

WHY UN-JUNK OUR SPORTS?

Sport is a big part of everyday life for many kids and their families, and it has great potential to support health. But sport is also being used to promote unhealthy food and drink. From elite competitions to local clubs (jerseys, scoreboards and social media), unhealthy food and drink companies are increasingly using sport to promote their brands.

This type of marketing is powerful. It links unhealthy products with sport and shapes what kids see and eat from a young age.

It's time for the government, sporting organisations and broadcasters to put kids' health before corporate interests and end unhealthy food sponsorships in sport.
